The hardest part was getting it level or square. This unit has to sit on the ground and if your garage floor isn?t level, you have to shim from underneath. The upper cupboards cannot be removed and hung separately from the bottom shelf part of unit. If the unit is off of the floor, it will sag. If you don?t have the unit square, the doors will hang crooked. We shimmed from the bottom to get the doors to hang straight. The tower is made to screw it into your wall studs. It does look good after getting it as straight as we could, and this unit is a good price for how much storage space you get. I think our garage will look nice when we are done. We are plannning on purchasing more of this product to complete our garage.
